USB stick
A USB stick is a mass storage device in a compact casing. Small and easy to transport. The USB sticks have a built-in memory chip which can store and play back all kinds of data. There is a port connection at the end of the USB stick which is inserted into the PC in order to save data or to retrieve it. After inserting the USB stick, it is automatically identified by modern system software and data can be immediately saved or retrieved. In the case of Windows, another drive appears after inserting the USB stick which is attributed to the next free drive letter. The USB stick is signed off by simply removing it from the PC. In the case of older system software, it is necessary to install a driver otherwise the USB stick will not work.
Some USB sticks have a small switch on the side with which the USB stick can be locked or unlocked. If the switch is moved up or down the USB stick is either locked or again unlocked.
All data which is stored on the USB stick can be conveniently deleted or replaced. Data can be stored and deleted for years because our USB sticks can have a very long life cycle. According to the manufacturer, stored data can be maintained up to 10 years. USB sticks are very popular memory media which are primarily used in the advertising industry as a means of promotion.
USB stick 2.0:
2.0 means a quicker reading and writing rate than in the case of the USB stick 1.1. All of our USB sticks are 2.0 but also 1.1 compatible.
Pad printing:
Pad printing means indirect printing (gravure printing principle). Pad printing makes it possible to print perfectly on all surfaces whether smooth or coarse. USB sticks can be printed on quickly and at a favourable price using the pad printing procedure. Using the pad which consists of silicone rubber it is possible to print on all surfaces quickly and precisely without any additional requirements. Due to the elasticity of the pad, it takes the form of any body and can therefore ideally print any motif.
shading or colour gradients cannot be printed using pad printing.
Engraving / lasing:
An engraving means writing on or marking the metal surface of the USB stick. The engraving is carried out with an intensive laser beam which engraves the logo or the brand name into the metal surface. In doing so, a slight impression is made into the metal. A laser engraving is waterproof and smudge-proof and extremely durable. Many small details can be engraved on the USB sticks using laser engraving which can hardly be recognised in the case of printing.
Only metal surfaces can be engraved. Surfaces made of coated metal also cannot be engraved.
Embossing:
For embossing a form is manufactured with the customer's brand name or logo. This form is then pressed onto the wood or leather surface so that an impression results.
Only USB sticks made of wood or leather can be embossed.
Offset printing:
Offset printing is a direct printing process. Many colours can be printed here at once contrary to pad printing. shading and colour gradients can also be printed in offset printing. Offset printing is more complex than pad printing and therefore also somewhat more expensive.
USB stick materials:

Memory capacity:
Byte is a quantitative term and a unit of measurement for a data volume. The bit is the smallest possible storage unit. Eight bits are one byte. The byte is the standard quantity unit in order to specify a memory capacity. In the case of USB sticks we refer to megabytes (MB) or gigabytes (GB). 1024 MB = 1GB, 1GB = 1.000.000.000 bytes

The Gema is responsible for finalising the protection of the author and exercising his/her rights in line with the bylaws and resulting from the entitlement agreements with members such as composers, songwriters and music publishers. All assigned rights and claims are stipulated in the GEMA entitlement agreement.
The Gema also campaigns nationally, within the EU and also internationally for the development in the law of copyrights which forms the economic drawback of intellectual property without which the creative community cannot develop its creativity. Therefore, the Gema is not only a collection organisation but also an organisation protecting the creative community.
The objective of the Gema is to protect the intellectual property of active musicians, to represent the interests and that the use of the works of the members is appropriately compensated for. In Germany, these tasks are solely pursued by the GEMA for works of music which are protected by copyright.
EAR:
EAR= German Waste Electronic Equipment Register Foundation
Every manufacturer of electrical or electronic equipment is obligated to register at the German Waste Electronic Equipment Foundation. Manufacturers are not permitted to sell electrical or electronic equipment in Germany without this registration. The registration applies for privately as well as commercially used equipment.
The groups of buyers are divided into private b2c and commercial b2b accordingly. The manufacturer of b2c equipment may only be registered if he/she can submit an insolvency insured guarantee which he/she must present annually otherwise the registration can be deleted.
The registration at the EAR ensures that the manufacturer has product stewardship and is also obligated to meet the demands of the ElektroG (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act) regarding disposal or recycling.
Disused electrical equipment from private buyers can be disposed of in containers made available under public law. The manufacturers are obligated to pick up the collected waste equipment as this is required by the EAR foundation.
Minimum quantity:
We have a minimum order quantity of 25 USB sticks per model, colour and memory capacity. Unfortunately, the production of a lesser amount is not economical because the prices for printing / engraving / embossing are too high. enhancement for orders less than 25 pieces cannot be carried out; that means these can only be delivered without printing / engraving / embossing.
Prices:
All prices are current prices plus 19% VAT. We reserve the right to alter prices due to price fluctuations on the "NAND flash memory" market at any time. Our general terms and conditions apply which you can find under GTC. Our prices can ...... due to currency fluctuations and the daily price market of the memory chips ???? these prices fluctuate regularly.?????????? Price increases must be expected particularly during the Christmas season (as of September) and in the exhibition season (as of January).
Ancillary printing costs:
All prices include ancillary printing costs, one-sided printing (1-2 colours) or one-sided laser engraving.
Pre-storing data:
We offer our customers full range service for USB sticks. We also offer you the service of pre-storing data for you. You have the possibility of pre-storing standard data during production in the Far East; in this case you must send us the data to be pre-stored with the order or if the data will not be available until a later point in time, there is also the possibility of pre-storing data with our express service in Germany. The costs for this are higher than for pre-storing the data in the Far East.
You also have other options for pre-storing the data; how it should be pre-stored - for instance using autorun = the pre-stored data is immediately opened when the USB stick is inserted or pre-storing undeletable data for example. This data can no longer be deleted and is therefore permanently stored on the USB stick.

Prices for quantities exceeding 1000 USB sticks must be directly coordinated with our supplier because in this case there are special terms. Please send us your enquiry via email with all details.
